Last night the last kiwi bird, named Zippy, died in captivity in new Zealand at the Hamilton zoo. He died of old age at the age of 37 years old and his funeral will be held on this coming Thursday. "His death was a terrible loss to us here at Hamilton zoo. We, as a human race, need to pull together to stop our terrible acts of injustice to other animals all over the planet. I hope this wakes up some people out there." spoke the tragic words of local zoo worker Daniel, aged 34. "I worked with zippy for almost 15 years and his death will stay with me until the day I die."
