Local Livonia Man arrested for poking holes in the ground beef packages

Livonia, Mi - A local Livonia man who had been under surveillance for poking holes in the ground beef packages at the Walmart at 29555 Plymouth rd in Livonia, has been arrested. Mark Hopkins was taken into custody and brought to the Livonia PD for questioning. Bail has not been set but has an arraignment Monday morning in 16th District Court.

Since June 18, loss prevention at Walmart have noticed that Mr Hopkins had been coming in every four to five days and pushing his finger through all the ground beef packages. Twice it was noticed until review of the cameras later and a third time he slipped out before someone could catch up to him. Loss prevention then called local police and set up a 6 day watch where on the 5th day, he came in and poked holes in 23 packages of ground beef.
