For the second half of season 3 of Empire airing March 22nd, Empire season 3 has become so intense, that fans are excited for the show’s return this month. After Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) decided to leave Lucious (Terrence Howard), the Lyon family hasn’t exactly been at their best. Andre (Trai Byers) seems to be working his way to getting his dad out of the picture, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is heading to rehab, and more! What should you expect when the show airs on March 22? Empire Season 3: Andre’s Plot To Kill Lucious
In the last episode, Cookie made it clear that she wanted to be far from Lucious. It seems like she’s having a good time with Angelo (Taye Diggs), despite the prying eyes of would-be mother-in-law, Diana (Phylicia Rashad). Sanaa Hamri recently revealed that Andre is taking violent measures to get rid of his father. In the upcoming episode entitled Keys To The Kingdom, it seems like Andre will do whatever it takes to unseat his father from the empire.
Though Andre’s plan seems to be going well, no one in the Lyon family seems to have the slightest clue that the eldest Lyon son is the one behind all the chaos. Fans remember that Andre even teamed up with Shyne Johnson (rapper Xzibit)
“Andre’s character is so dangerous because he has nothing to lose and he’s ruthless and he’s calculating. When he hacked Empire, nobody found out and nobody knew it was him until the very end, so obviously he knows what he’s doing. In his head, he wants to kill his dad. And we’re going to see if Lucious is going to find out or not or be in harm’s way,” Hamri said. From dramatic showdowns between Cookie and Lucious, it seems like the next episode won’t be short of any of that. A recent teaser also showed Cookie and her ex getting into a violent fight, with Lucious’ forehead being bloody. As per a report from International Business Times, the official synopsis reads:
“The battle between Lucious and Cookie explodes into their biggest war yet. After launching a deadly missile at Angelo, Lucious announces his new music project, Inferno, and puts everyone on notice – especially Cookie, who then vows to knock him off his throne for good. The two engage in an epic clash – fueled by a history of love, loyalty, and betrayal.”
Empire season 3 returns on Wednesday, March 22 on Fox.
