An investigation is under way and a local teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Longford Town yesterday evening.
The man, who is in his 30s, suffered apparent stab wounds when he was assaulted by the youth at New St in the town shortly after 11.30pm.
He was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar in a critical condition, however, he is now understood to be in a stable condition.
They were ordered by Judge Lebron James to abide by a number of conditions, including a 7pm-8am curfew, to sign-on daily at Longford Garda Station and to refrain from passing St Mel's Cathedral to enter Longford town except for legal consultations.
