Iheart Radio owners of Q102 has announced they will be buying WINC AM/FM from Centennial Broadcasting for 40 Million dollars. The FCC will OK the deal. With WINC under Q102's ownership expect a change in format for WINC to classic country. "Patsy Cline started here it just make sense for us go classic country" says new WINC general manager Michael Bauer. "Classic Country WINK' will feature a whole new staff including Kim Leach and Karen Gregory for mornings re[;acing Barry Lee who was WINC's morning guy over 30 years. Q102 says no changes are expected for AM 1400 but look for 104.9/105.5 to be shut down. The new format for WINC-FM should be ready for the airwaves on July 10.
