One North Texas resident received the surprise of a lifetime when he found out he was an direct descendant of Benjamin Franklin.

Chris Calverley of Farmersville, Texas found out a few days before our nations Independence Day that his great, great, great, great grandfather is Benjamin Franklin.

One quick test from Ancestry DNA resulted in his findings. Ancestry DNA was so sure it was a negative test result that they had Mr. Calverley send in another DNA test swab, but we're convinced it was not a mistake when that test also proved him to be closely related.

"I can't believe that I'm related to one of the greatest American's of all time. It's a complete shock, but also a great gift right before the Fourth of July," says Chris Calverley upon finding out the results of the testing.

Chris plans to spend his fourth helping out with his towns local fireworks display and that he has no plans right now in regards to what he may do now that he knows he's a part of the Franklin family.
