A local woman asking for anonymity stated Wednesday that a Bigfoot or Sasquatch is a frequent visitor to her yard. "The area is covered in ivy, and I guess it makes a soft bed for them", she said. Often she places scraps from the dinner table in a pan in her yard. She says they are often gone in the mornings. There is evidence of some sort of animal nesting in the underbrush and scattered bones and food fragments. We have not yet received a statement from the homeowner' association for the neighborhood. The members have convened a special meeting to discuss this matter and the effect it might have on home evaluations in the neighborhood. The only photographs of the "Sasquatch" are grainy at best. The homeowner said he is "skittish" and she has not gotten a close look at him as of yet. Neighbors are asked to report any knocking sounds or vocalizations to local authorities. "We don't know if this creature is friend or foe at this point" said officer Jack Crouch, captain of the neighborhood watch. "If we find out it is swimming in the pool, of course it will be looking at paying some homeowner's dues and spending some time beautifying it's nest and the surrounding area with seasonal flowers and fresh pine straw". This is a developing story. Further details will be reported as they are available.
