Facebook to Start Testing New Users at Signup

Earlier this week, Mark Zuckerberg stated Facebook would soon start applying basic tests, at the sign up of a new account.

He went into detail, behind this strange decision, by saying, "I've been aware of fake news for a long time now, and we have implemented several features to avert these situations. However, as with many things, it's near impossible to rid Facebook of fake news 100. This is why I've recently began looking at this from another perspective. Perhaps, the users are the problem." I personally was shocked to hear Mr. Zuckerberg's words. Blaming the users for fake news? I'm not sure if this is the correct route for Facebook to pursue, but Mark continued his statement.

"I simply mean there are quite of lot of gullible folks out there. You can't believe everything you read online or through media in general these days. This is why starting on September 15th, all new users will need to complete and pass a small quiz, at sign up. It will not be difficult, however I'm certain it will weed out that percentage of people who are quick to read into and believe fake news. Thank you."
