A local Baltimore County man was recently selected from several social media posts to help the beleaguered starting rotation for the Baltimore Orioles
Ed Stylc of Perry Hall was found to be bouncing around to several minor league local teams over the past few years. Sources say that he posted on the social media site Facebook recently about pitching and that caught the eye of the Orioles front office. We spoke with a party close to the decision who stated, " He's older than most of he current pitching staff... hell, probably older than the whole team! But he's got an attitude and (the front office) thinks the team could use that kind of guy." The source who chose to remain anonymous also stated, "He can't be any worse than what we already have and we hear his wife is a helluva cook so it's a win-win."
No confirmation on when Mr Stylc's first start will be or which jersey number he will be wearing. Sources tell us he wears the number 33. We contacted former Orioles great Eddie Murray for comment and he declined.
