(AP) - | After a 2 year study done by Samsung and Apple, the two largest tech giants in the wireless industry, a unified decision has been made to eliminate the "phone" feature. This will leave their new flagship models in 2021 without any way to make a "classic phone call". The research, done by the ALM Research Company in Los Angeles, shows that only about 3.4 percent of Americans use their device for phone calls.
| "They should now be called devices and not phones, 3rd party apps will always be available to communicate with friends and coworkers", said Samsung spokesman Nowai Tokal Yu in a statement earlier this week in Tokyo.
|Verizon, Boost Mobile, and AT&T are just a few of the company's announcing plans to sue the giant tech companies for damages due to the fact that cell phone providers will be a thing of the past.
