Tourists Decide to Walk Across Bridge So Vehicles Aren't Keyed

As the Atlantic Canada Bubble opened up today PEI prepared themselves for the onslaught of mainlanders to their tiny vacation province. Surprisingly though the staff at the PEI checkpoints did not have to deal with any vehicle traffic as tourists decided to leave their vehicles parked on NB side of the Confederation Bridge and simply walk across. Jimmy Robichaud of Moncton told us: " I seen in the papers that if you had a licence plate from out-of-province that your car would be keyed. I don't carry the comp coverage so couldn't risk it." It appears that the sensationalized journalism from national media outlets for a couple of isolated incidents was believed to be a rampant problem by the "people from away". Unfortunately for tourism operators in the majority of the province most people were so tired from the walk over that they just had a beer at Lone Oak Brewery and then walked back over to get their vehicles to head home.
