A Lackawanna County Correction's Officer was placed on paid leave eaier today pending investigation. Christopher Barnes, 40, was arrested and charged by Scranton Police Department for inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault, and offial oppression. Mr. Barnes allegedly struck Vinny Archer, owner of the V-spot bar, in the neck with a bottle late Monday night after showing a prison ID badge demanding free alcohol. Survielance footage shows Mr. Barnes entering the local pub in his prison uniform, assaulting the owner, and urinating on the bar. Lackawanna County Prison Warden Tim Betti declined comment.
