Tuesday October 25, 2016, middle school student, Anthony Beasley, 13, of Waterford Township was told that this would be his last game. Anthony finished his game Tuesday afternoon and was pulled aside by his coach for a private talk. Anthony was told that, " we can no longer let you play for the schools football team." A heartbroken Anthony, met his parents Nicole and Karina Roberts of Pontiac, that he could no longer play football because he has a " nontraditional family," and that some of the other parents were "offended." "This year was different for him. He was excited about school. He was excited about football. So for my way of life interfering with his happiness is a hard pill to swallow," says mother Nicole.
