Stephanie Pedder of no fixed address Burnley, was arrested for stabbing a co-worker to death. Pedder was known at work to have high cleaning standards (OCD) and confessed to an officer to stabbing Danielle Hartley to death due to Pedders standards not being met. Pedder confessed to PC Laura Beattie (1st officer on the scene) that Danielle had not cleaned the work tops in the kitchen properly and had left a few marks. Pedder had become quickly very aggressive yo Danielle and pulled a knife from the cupboard and repeatedly stabbed Danielle to death. Pedder confessed to the police after she had thouroughly cleaned the kitchen of all the blood from the incident. PC Beattie immediately arrested Pedder at the scene and placed her into custody. Pedder informed PC Beattie that if Danielle had done her job properly then she would still be alive. Pedder continued showing no remorse sayin "she deserved it because she didn't clean up properly" . Pedder is currently in custody waiting to go to court in the morning for sentencing.
