An area man John Davis, 20, of 1000 Spaulding Ave was arrested Friday morning after an anonymous caller reported that their child had seen a homeless man passed out sleeping in a slide at Kennedy Elementary School around 7:30 a.m. Police responsed to the call and when they arrived on the scene, they discovered local drifter John Davis alseep in the slide under the influence of narcotics and in possesion of an estimated quantity of 1 gram of heroin. They immediately called for medical assistance and once paramedics had woken Mr. Davis up, he responded by saying " come on bro, I'm just trying to turn up a little bit with my lil hittas." Once he was stabilized, police immediately took him into custody and he is currently being held in Rock County jail with a bond of $10,000.
