A man dressed in a clown mask and outfit was spotted outside of Tesco car park in Shettleston at around 9pm on Friday night.
The man was seen in the car park of Tesco wearing red trousers, a black hoodie and a clown mask and was said to be carrying what looked like a large blade or kitchen knife.
A witness reported this incident to the police saying "I was leaving Tesco at about 9pm to head home for the night when I saw an unusual figure in the distance. As I walked closer I saw it was a clown and saw he was holding a sharp object in his right hand. I managed to get a picutre (as shown) and then dropped my stuff and ran immediately".
Police are looking for anyone who seen this incident or anything in surrounding areas and anyone who may know who he is.
If you see a masked man do not approach them. They are unpredictable and potentially dangerous.
