Steven Escorza was crossing on 46st and Queensblvd when the ven struck him at 6:48pm on October 29.
Eyewitnesses fleed the scene the moment when the tragedy happened.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver was taken into police custody for questioning.
His last words were ''tell my girlfriend that I love her and to stay strong.'' The victims parents and girlfriend are being contacted for the loss of their loved one.
