At Huck's performance dyno day, the onlookers had a surprise in store. Foley man, and 2015 Chevrolet Silverado owner, Don Baugher surprised everyone, including himself by running 453.26 HP and 442lb/ft torque on a completely stock 5.3 v8. GM has confirmed recently that there was an error in production during the 2015 model year, and a handfull of Silverados were manufactured with larger injectors, camshaft, and computer programming to match.
According to GMs Director of Retail sales, Kenneth Powers,"Most were caught and pulled from stock and later destroyed, as they were thought to be too dangerous for the average driver, but some slipped by". It seems like Mr Baugher was one of the lucky few to acquire one of these unicorns.
