Cody Adams 15, of baraboo was caught early Saturday morning driving a red Nissan SUV when he was pulled over and baraboo police found over 2 pounds of marijuana and a pistol in the car hidden in the seat behind the driver. Baraboo chief of police Officer Mark Shuaff stated "As we approached the SUV the subject reached down to his side, at that moment I and my fellow officers knew we had to gain control of the suspect before he harmed me, my officers or a pedestrian. At this point officer mike pickler ordered Adams out of the car where he then got out and turned towards us with his hands in his pockets. I then felt the need to take action after telling him to stop and get on the ground, he continued walking towards us ,and I felt the lives of my officers, aswell as myself were in danger, so we used electric force to bring Adams to the ground where he was put into custody". He was then taken into custody around 9:30 am Saturday morning and is awaiting trial at the Sauk county jail. More news after court hearing October 31st at 9am at the baraboo court house.
