Local New Haven resident was arrested just moments ago on Whalley avenue. Police say they responded to an urgent call for help by a passing citizen. A witness says that Mr. Richards was involved in a car accident in which the other party who hit his car did some pretty bad damage and Mr. Richards reacted violently by going to his trunk and beating the other persons car and the other driver with a metal baseball bat. Mr. Richards will be charged with attempted murder and a $1,000,000 bail. More from this story to come shortly.
