Gardai till be holding checkpoints across the country this bank holiday week-end as they lock down on learner drivers. There will also be checkpoints on Motorways throughout the week for users taking the motorway on learner permits.
Sargent Hogan Dublin has spoke about the number of crashes this month of users on Provisional Licances saying "its not acceptable for anyone to drive on provisional Licance with any full driver over 3years". Checkpoints will be held anytime of day and night and users will be Fined sixty euro and 2 penalty points.
Garai are warning people to stay safe this weekend and do not be doing unnecessary driving.
