Man saves child from burning car in Waterford City

At approximately 11:15 this morning a car crashed into the wall of the bridge in Poleberry beside Tesco and burst into flames. The driver of the car (35 year old male) managed to escape but collapsed seconds after escaping, but his 7 year old daughter Caroline was still stuck in the car unconcious. No one seemed to notice the child except for young WIT college student Sean Murphy(21) from Wexford. Murphy rushed to the car and fought through the flames to pull the door open with all his strength and thankfully rescued Caroline from the car. She and her father are in a stable condition with no major injuries in University Hospital Waterford. Murphy had left the scene after questioning from Gardai.
