A Cheap way to track commercial drivers is on it's way . Dubbed the " Black Box " by the manufacturers, they claim it will give employers greater control over the drivers.
It's about the size of a cell phone. With it being self contained and not needing an outside power source or antenna it can be put on a vehicle almost anywhere, hidden away.
Commercial enforcement around Kansas city offers use of the device cost free to fleets who participate.
When downloaded police will issue citations and mail them to the drivers.
Several large truck and bus fleets are said to have jumped on board already and may be in use .
