Gogeta never appeared in any works created by Toriyama and therefore doesn't exist as far as Dragon Ball Super is concerned. Everyone who insists that Goku and Vegeta won't use the Potara earings because the fusion is permanent clearly haven't actually watched Super because it is PLAINLY EXPLAINED that the dragon balls can reverse the fusion.
