Cadiz, Ohio; Pamela Howell of the Harrison County Sheriffs Office has been awarded the Dispather of the Year award by voting choice of her fellow employees. Sheriff Joe Meyers states "The new 911 center project for our office has been quite an undertaking and without the hard work of all of our staff it would not have been possible.... After the hiring of Pamela things became a lot easier. I don't know where our office would be without her." Also, Head Dispatcher, Kyle Carter said "Without Pam I don't know what we would do. Her [Pamela] expertise and previous dispatching experience with other EMS services has been a blessing. Her knowledge has also been a great help with educating the rest of our dispatching staff".

We were unable to collect a statement from Pamela due to poor phone service in Scio but her fellow peers informed us that Pamela enjoys her position on midnight shift and working with the Deputies and local FD's. She also looks forward to becoming the next full time Dispatcher for the office so she can serve her community to the fullest. Congratulations Pamela.
