All polymer notes are to be recalled after it has been reported that over 20 percent of the notes in circulation are already fraudulent. All major banks are now offering £20 for each of the genuine notes that is returned. Britain will move back to the paper note until 'the kinks have been ironed out' as said by chief cashier Andrew Bailey.

The notes were released late September and were claimed to be fraud proof, however, in just afew weeks exact copy's of the notes have even fooled seasoned bank cashiers.

Whilst 1 in 5 of the notes is fake, holders are urged to take there polymer notes to their banks on the prayer that the generous £20 per note offer will cover for the fraudulent notes they have obtained -as the fraudulent notes cannot be reimbursed.

The recall will last until 7th of November. Whilst this may seem a short recall period it is asked of the public to bare in mind the cost to the mint of having such a high percentage of fraudulent notes in circulation.

All major banks and building societies are now part of the recall.
