A seaham man has received a six month prison sentence for abusing the family dog in his teenage years, Carl Pownall 31, abused the dog for the last four years of its life before the dog inexplicably exploded all over the kitchen one morning, upon sentencing the judge stated that Mr Pownall was one of the worst dog nonces ever sentenced at Peterlee magistrates court.
