Amy Watson of Silksworth, Sunderland has clearly shown her undying love for the famous 20 pence snack. The 17 year-old has stolen over 1,000 bags, at an estimate. Amy has admitted to this and will accept her fine of £1,000. On top of these charges, she has been offered advice and guidance to help control her crippling addiction.
"I suffer with an obsessive disorder and it affects my daily life," Amy said, "I need counselling to help control my addiction with the crisps." She continued, "The Saucy BBQ and Pickled Onion are my favourites," she added, "however I will get Spicy or Beef from the corner shop if they don't have my favourite flavours in."
Northumbria Police have said that they will drop most charges if the counselling works, and Amy will not have to go to court and will have a smaller fine of £60. She has apologised to her corner shop and they understand her problem.
