McDonald's to trial home delivery of breakfast menu in UK

McDonald's have recently started delivery in the United States and many in the UK felt they were being left out of what could be a very lucrative market. However, McDonald's US marketing executive Hugh Janus states 'Over here, the calls for us to deliver were answered, primarily to office workers, however, we expanded the operation after a successful trial period'
Mr Janus's UK counterpart, George Forman had expressed in the past of his vision of McDeliveries to ?esidential addresses to compete with the growing market in the UK for home delivered fast food, concentrating initially on a 1.5 mile radius from each individual store. 'The aim is to not only have footfall in our newly refurbished stores but to increase sales to those unable to get to our restaurants, either through lack of transport, workmen etc'
The rollout is expected to trial in Bristol and London initially with other areas trialling it if the service is successful.
