Just in time for the Christmas rush, South dublin County Council have announced the largest car park in the country. And it's free!
Lucan, the hamlet on the outskirts of Tallaght City has thousands of spaces. The only drawback is that the drivers may not leave their car. "You really couldn't have it any better" beamed Sharon Bellend, traffic management consultant with SDCC. "Thanks to our new Traffic Woundabout And Tailback (TWAT) initiative, the new B2B (Bumber to Bumper) style parking matrix will prove to be extremely popular. Many car owners are already availing of it!" said Peter Raleigh, senior vice president of kerbs in SDCC added.
Leixlip and Celbridge Chambers of Commerce begun doing a tour of the new car park last Friday the 11th of November but so far have only got as far as the Spa Hotel flyover.
