Midlands talent Scout Arthur Mcdonald hit the big time last Saturday night whilst doing the tour of the Derby night scene by discovering singing sensation Joan Johnson in the Noars Ark Morledge.
" I thought Christmas had come early when I walked in to discover Joan doing a beautiful rendition of Bernard Cribbins sixties smash hit Right said Fred ; let's have a cup o tea " !!
"She really can open a lot of doors with a voice like that. I've been in the business for nearly 3 decades now and can honestly say , I've never heard a voice like it till now!!! Outstanding !"
Speaking to Joan who currently is working for Derby County Council guiding vehicles in at Raynes way Tip , commented " well to frank and without blowing my own trumpet : I knew it was only a matter of time before my talents were noticed , and thankfully , my ship has come in at last..There is talk of me doing gigs in around Derby with a Christmas special at the Wagon n Horses in Ashbourne Road with free buffet and all that".
Since speaking to Joan , we tried to contact Mr Mcdonald about what was the big long term plan for her.but unfortunately the phone was constantly engaged and he has not been seen since.
