Early Friday morning, February 17, 2017, around 7:23am; a man had been caught dismantling the ever famous dolphin off of a local restaurant "Blue Dolphin". Local restaurant owner, Donald McKinney, heard a noise above him while he prepared the restaurant for the day and went outside to check it out, when he then saw a man on top of the restaurant's roof trying to take apart the dolphin statue that has laid on top of the Blue Dolpin for over 47 years. "I couldn't believe it" said Donald. "I yelled at the guy to get down from the roof and quickly grabbed my phone from inside and called the police." "I never seen such a sight, my precious dolphin, about to leave forever!"
The appplechin and Omego Police had arrived on scene about 10 minutes later, arresting the suspect and taking him into custody. Names will be released when more information is available.
