Alex Rivera, age 18 from lake villa saved a 2month old cat from a burning house on Tuesday at 7:45pm.
The owners of the home were on a dinner date when they forgot to turn off the stove. Alex was walking home from his friends house around 7:30pm when he was a block away from his home, he realized a house was catching a fire with a cat inside and with out any thinking he went to save the cat and tried to find someone in the residence.
