The Supreme Leader of the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-Un, has been killed after South Korean and US troops invaded Pyongyang, the Associated Press reports. The leader was shot during a raid in the North Korean Parliament, which Kim was addressing at the time.
The young leader took over the DPRK's government after his father, Kim Jong-Il, died of a heart attack in 2011. Under his leadership, the dictatorship became more Totalitarian and its Human Rights' record deteriorated. They had also made multiple threats to the US with Nuclear strikes, leading to multiple UN sanctions being placed on the reclusive Stalinist nation.
With no heir, the future leadership of the country remains uncertain.
