Gateshead Man Detained At Airport For Looking "Chinese"

News broke this morning that a North East man had been detained at Newcastle Airport for looking "suspiciously Chinese".
When we contacted the airport, we were advised that a man in his early to mid 30's was currently being held with a mystery package being the subject of a controlled explosion.
The man has since gone on record to say that the only dangerous item in the bag was his "mankini" which he hoped "would spice up his 2 week vacation to Costa Del Sol".
Although officers were wary about letting him go, they have admitted "looking Chinese" isn't really a crime and have since released the man.
It is rumoured an internal investigation will soon be underway to investigate if the treatment of the Gateshead man was lawful. We also have it on good authority that the Government will be paying for his holiday as well as purchasing a new mankini for the man to enjoy.
Media outlets have been asked to respect the man's privacy, therefore all images of the victim will be pixelated until further notice.
