MANCHESTER, IA – Edgewood, Iowa, has disappeared off the face of the earth according to students from nearby Colesburg who arrived for high school this morning only to find a large intricately designed crop circle where the town once stood. Local authorities confirm the nearly 700 residents of this small NE Iowa town are also missing. Aside from a few scattered personal effects and the water tower along Highway 3, nothing remains of the town, not even family pets or vehicles. "Dad gum! It's like the place never were existed, like they was just beamed up lock, stock and barrel. Maybe they is Raptured!" commented Reid Necker, not his real name, who wishes to remain anonymous just in case aliens return looking for snitches. The F.B.I., N.S.A., and Homeland Security using the Alien Search and Security Enterprise System (A.S.S.E.S.), recently purchased by the government from Kushner Development for $19.6 billion, are investigating. In a statement from the N.S.A., Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster stated, "We are doing everything within our power to rescue these fine Edgewoodians before they interbred with aliens or have cell phone towers implanted in their anuses." A few minutes later President Trump tweeted, "I have it on good word from non-fake news that Rosie O'Donnell ate Edgewood and Obama sanctioned it. Build Lost in Space force field now. More jobs!"
