Rowan County Man Wanted On Several Gun Charges

Rowan County sheriff’s deputies say they need your help finding a man who has been selling and trading unregistered gun.

They say Chad Michael Hancock, 44 is wanted on warrants for:

· 5 counts of Possession with intent to sell and deliver of assault riffles.
· 8 counts of Possession of unregistered guns.
· 1 count of Possession of a firearm without permit.
· Carrying a concealed weapon.
· 4 counts of selling gun to undercover.
· 5 counts of crossing state line with illegal guns.

This has been a on going investigation over the past two years. Search warrant of the home will be issued today April 20 2017 if Hancock has not been found. Several attempts have been made to contact Hancock at his home with no response. Hancock has been unable to be located at this time.

Deputies say Hancock is a white male, 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 270 pounds.

He has brown hair, blue eye.

Anyone with information concerning Hancock's whereabouts is asked to call the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-267-2235, the Rowan County 911 communications center at 704-652-4000 or Rowan County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463). Anyone who may see Hancock is encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately. Hancock is consumed armed and extremely dangerous.
