On April 20, 2017, at approximately 2:30am, the Shipleys Donuts on Hardy St was burglarized and 22 dozen glazed donuts were stolen. After HPD investigators reviewed video evidence, a suspect was identified and John Klem of Petal was arrested shortly afterwards sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Hattiesburg Zoo.
