Midleton local Daniel Gunn has been diagnosed with bedsores.
The diagnosis was made after Daniel (22), a London native left his girlfriend's home for the first time in months.
His friends have been quoted as saying "I love this girl like" in a harsh English accent.
Daniel has been given until the end of his relationship to live as the illness is terminal.
