After all these years it only made sense. Once the most fiercest competitors in both the 8bit and 16bit era, Sega finally decided their best fit was in the home of Nintendo. Sega the once dominating powerhouse, and developer of the Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and their final system, The Sega Dreamcast, had given up the console wars due to financial losses, and decided to become a gaming publisher for all consoles across the board. Sega had been testing the market with many different titles with Nintendo for years. It just seemed like the best natural fit said " John Cheng (COO, Sega of America). We feel that Nintendo will honor our beloved franchise games, and utilize their own special polish that Nintendo is renowned for. Several games are in the pipeline as we speak too. The games will be on both the Nintendo switch and the Nintendo 3DS.
