Officials from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife confirm that a 22 foot long giant freshwater squid has been spotted trolling the waters of Kentucky Lake on the upper side of Kentucky Dam. KDFW has issued a swimming ban until the creature can be caught and relocated to southern Florida. Officials are not sure how the squid made it up from the native waters in southern Florida but suspect that it may have been illegally transported here by a tourist as a joke.
