Dezz Irby Loses Arm to Geist Shark

Sunday a 10 Ft. Bull Shark was seen in the Cocktail Cove area of Geist Reservoir. Bull Sharks are known to be able to swim between salt water and fresh water. Although they are able to swim in fresh water typically they are only found in tropical rivers around the world. Boaters and swimmers on Geist are on high alert as the Summer boat season is in high gear. Residents are asked to report any new sightings to the Marina. A team of experienced shark hunters will be attempting to catch the bull shark this week, and have already begun dropping chum around the Reservoir. Unfortunately these actions are too late for local Resident Dezz Irby who lost his arm while attempting to catch the shark himself. Mr. Irby is in Methodist hospital in a medically induced coma. Residents are now being cautioned to report any sightings but leave the catching up to the professionals.
