Tyler Jones, 32 of Leesburg was fishing Friday morning in Irish Lake and felt a strong tug on his fishing pole. Thinking it was just a large mouth bass, he went to task in reeling the fish in. When out of nowhere a 5 foot bull shark jumps into the air and lands right in his boat.
The shark had to be subdued quickly before it could do any damage or cause harm to Tyler or his father, RD Jones (also of Leesburg). Tyler immediately took his flip flop off and beat the shark over the head sever dozens of times until the shark went still.
You can get your picture taken with the shark Friday evening outside of Jake's Bar & Grill before RD Jones begins the process of cutting the shark a part and smoking it on his Green Egg.
