Scientists are hoping that July 1st is the breakthrough day they have been waiting for. At 1:23 PM local police received a call from a resident that an "ape-like creature" had wandering in to the local tennis courts area and became trapped. Although the description matches the elusive creature known as "Big Foot" police are asking people not to jump to any conclusions.
A statement released today by the police department states that "Yes we know that whatever this thing is happens to be hairy, makes a blood curdling scream, and smells offensively but it also is only about 5 foot 6 and is wearing jeans".
"We are also asking people that are leaving the local tavern right next to the tennis courts to please stop feeding it pretzels, peanuts, and the rest of their beers."
