A local Asheville native is set to star in an upcoming dating competition show airing next spring. Kristen Minyard, also known online and through popular social media platforms as, Fannie Farkles, was cast as a the lead for MTVs new comedic dating show. Reports indicated that recent events in Miss Farkles life played a major part in her contact with MTV producers for her opportunity to be cast. With experience with being recruited as cast through another network on a similar style show, Farkles was more than ready to take on the role. "I've competed for love, gave people my heart, and they've ripped it into a million pieces. It's my turn to be chased," Farkles when asked what her motivation was for the show.
MTV has yet to release the details of the location of the filming
