Republicans have pushed for stricter dress code laws in the U.S. and as of July this year, Virginia is one of 5 states that will be outlawing the bikini.
President Trump was behind these new laws and he was quoted as saying, "If we want to make America great again, we have to go back to our old values which were great indeed." The president plans on pushing the rest of the U.S. to adopt similar dress code laws.
The new laws seem to be a source of frustration for many women in the fashion industry. The up-and-coming feminist group, Our Voices Heard, is planning to get as many people behind them in their struggle to get these laws overturned.
