RIPLEY West Virginia, a small town has realized that lack of gas stations is not a concern. A small town in West Virginia known as Ripley has decided to tear down all of its gas station within city limits. For years the town has revived critism and disapproval from its citizens for the abundance of gas stations in the area and nothing for the youth to do or anything to attract others to the area. "I just walk around town or stay in and play video games" a young male said when asked what he does for fun. In years past there was a movie theatre, arcade halls, and although outside city limits a skate rink. Talk of places such as Applebees and Buffalo Wild Wings was suggested candidates for some of the realistate now consumed by gas stations but those ideas were shut down due to them allowing liquor sales. Although it's been a long time coming it seems like someone has got the hint and decided to take action. Removal of several gas stations is scheduled to take effect May of 2018.
