West Virginia Governor, Jim Justice, announced yesterday that homeowners with do it yourself home security systems can now be sued by home invaders on July 27th, 2017 in the US Congress meeting of potential bills of West Virginia.

"The reason for this bill is to bring awareness that criminals have a right to privacy, just the same as tax paying homeowners. The right to privacy is violated when someone is recorded by a do it yourself home surveillance system. To avoid potential lawsuits, homeowners will be able to apply for a do it yourself home surveillance permit with the State of West Virginia. The cost of the permit will range from $275 - $650 per year depending on the value of the house." Gov. Justice concluded in his recent interview with WBOY.

The law will go into effect on July 27th, 2017 and anybody that has a home security system will need to abide by the home surveillance law immediately.
