Local Police in Charlottetown PEI announce that they are looking for a missing statue of Anne of Green Gables last seen by occupants in a Honda Pilot with New Brunswick plates . Police report that these individuals had also managed to convince a local spinster to allow them to borrow some old family clothes that she had stored in her closet so that they could dress up in the outfits for western style photos to plaster all over facebook."They even looked into the camera with pointed guns" Mrs Robinson sobbed as she recounted the sorrid tale of lies and deceit . "They told me they had a visitor from London Ontario that had never been to P.E.I and laughed uncontrollably as they started posing for the camera" Mrs Robinson recounted a comment made by a man known as "Big Red" about making fun of a local lobster mascot and then getting pictures of the lobster for facebook posts . "I was horrified " Robison stated as she explained to police. "These type of characters are not welcome in these parts". Police are asking for anyone who witnessed these events to call the Tips line at 1-875-645-3546
