MAN FINDS OWN THUMB IN WENDY'S CHILI ONE WEEK AFTER TRAGIC ACCIDENT

A tragic sawmill accident turned joyful only one week later in amazing coincidence.
Mr. Tom Flinger, aged 22, an employee of Welbeck Sawmill in Durham, Ontario lost his thumb on Friday, July 14th, 2017. He admitted that he had been drinking heavily the evening before and sliced his thumb clean off early the next morning. Workers at the saw mill could not locate the thumb after searching for 2 days. There was just too much saw dust said Frank Phalange, a co-worker of Tom's. Tom was rushed to hospital by boss, Adam Digets but without the thumb there was little the doctors could do.
Only 8 days later on Saturday July 22nd, Tom and his girlfriend visited Wendy's for lunch on King St. in Oshawa. Luckily for Tom he ordered the side chili since he usually get fries. Amazingly yet horrifically tom found a finger in his chili. Before complaining to Wendy's staff Tom noticed the finger nail on the digit looked like his. Pulling out the digit he placed it one the space of his former thumb and it was a perfect match.
If that wasn't amazing and lucky enough for Tom, the doctors were able to reattached the thumb. Although they said Tom will never get any feeling or use out of the thumb again, he was pleased that the smell of chili has remained with the thumb ever since.
